About us
Twenty-five years under the same standard
Al Maidana was founded in Abu Dhabi in 2001. We have grown from a small electrical contractor into a directly approved utility contractor trusted with live networks — without changing what we are: a hands-on company that self-performs its work.

Our story
Built on repeat work
The measure of a contractor is not the first award, it is the second. Since our first substation contracts in the mid-2000s we have worked continuously for the Abu Dhabi utilities — through Saadiyat Island's 22 kV network, the Etihad Rail corridor, the E75 carriageway upgrade, and the long-term running agreements that keep the distribution network alive today. Clients return because the work is done once, documented properly, and handed over without a snag list.
How we work
Four habits our clients rely on
We self-perform
Civil, mechanical, electrical and controls are delivered by our own teams, so interfaces do not become disputes.
We test what we build
Commissioning is done with our own calibrated instruments, on our own schedule, not a subcontractor's.
We document properly
Utility handover packages, as-builts and test records are prepared to the standard the authority expects.
We mobilise when it matters
An emergency call-off contract is only worth the crew that turns up. Ours have answered for two decades, at any hour the network needs them.

HSE
Safety is the licence to operate
Working on energised networks means safety is not a policy document, it is the condition of being allowed on site at all. We operate a zero-accident philosophy under an ISO 45001 certified system aligned with the OSHAD framework, with TAQA-authorised construction safety officers on our own payroll and every permit receiver individually carded by the utility.
